When Nova Commander Michael cannot pilot his Axeman for whatever reason, he instead pilots a Hellbringer - B. Its Gauss Rifle would put a dent (or more likely, a hole!) in the armor of any Mech, and its supplementary weaponry can take care of any enemies that try to get into closer range.
