Possibly the most popular Mechs in Clan Wolf, the Timber Wolf is a very versatile machine. In its basic configurations, it can serve as a fire-support Mech, a fast-assault vehicle, or even a deadly in-fighter. As with all OmniMechs, it is infinitely changeable, and can be adapted to any situation. However, the Timber Wolf's combination of high armor, fast speed, and plentiful pod space makes it an exceptional Mech that has a special place in my heart -- it was the first OmniMech I piloted, and the one I used for my initial Trial of Position!

I have heard it said that this Mech is called the "Mad Cat" by the forces of the Inner Sphere, for its resemblance to both the Marauder (whose designation is MAD-xxx) and the Catapault (designation CAT-xxx).
